Reviews and comments written for the Woodleigh Weldcore bullet.

I used this bullet on a Cape Buffalo in South Africa in March of 2008. The 500 grain bullet hit the bull above the heart at the shoulder blades and spine. It broke the spine and the bull slid on his face and did a flip. When recovered just below the skin on the farside the bullet weighed 488 grains. I was very impressed with the weight retention and the damage to the bull. It expanded to well over double diameter, yet it kept a good portion of the shank intact.

I have used these bullets extensively on large game (scrub bulls & brumbies)in different calibres particularly .338 Win Mag, 9.3x62 Mauser & .416 Taylor. In all cases terminal performance was excellent with 85.0% plus weight retention & double diameter expansion. Woodleigh bullets always provide deep penetration with consistent expansion. Additionally these bullets are very accurate.
