I use the factory loaded 338 federal with barnes 185 gr. bullets. Out of 5 shots three were in the low 2900 fps and two were high 2800 fps. I tried reloading but could not get anything near the factory loads. Barnes told me the solid copper bullets will raise pressures which increases fps. Federal would not tell me the powder are the amount.
