Bullet review

Since i've been having a difficult time finding my favorite bullet (interbonds) I decided to try some 150 grain speer hot-cores. this year in my custom bolt action 300 savage. I've shot 30 - 40 deer in m;y time and have never lost one till this year. My shot was about 125 yds, and the 8 pointer was walking from right to left. As his shoulder entered my cross hairs I pulled the trigger. The deer bucked and i was sure of my shot. About 15 minutes later I went check out my deer. There was no deer to be found. I went to where the deer was standing and found a small piece of lung and a little blood, that was it. I look for half a day without any luck. Three days later I was in the area and saw some ravens about 75 yds. from where the deer entered the opening( he backed tracked after being shot) there was my deer. A pencil size hole entering the shoulder and a pencil size hole exiting. It looked to as if the bullet didn't mushroom.

MY 165 gr. handloads with the speer are much faster than the 160 you show. Remember Magnum primers make powder burn faster
