| I switched to this by on the advice of a reloading buddy at our local gun shop & BOY i am glad i took his advice .The 208 grn has the beat of both worlds IMHO they are super asupet accurate & hit HARD i took a large Whitetail doe this past season with the 208 A-Max @about 278 yards & it rolled het a 180 before she hit the ground . I loaded this bullet in my ne Remington Model 700 SPS in 300RUM 26" bbl . I will not ever use no other bullet but the Hornady 208 grn A-Max | |

| this is the best bullet I could find to use for both target-shooting and hunting even though it is not recommended by hornady it's becoming well known as an instant kill with them they leave about a fist size exit in your .308 I use the 208grn A-max in my 300 wby with retumbo makes a nasty or nice:) round for boar at a 1000+yrd but need to put the load-h at 93.42-50mm but must are very accurate! also retumbe is a powder that is to be compressed for best r but I found a little re-leaf space can do wonders with it 83.2 in your nosler brass 84.6 wby brass 83.2 R-l best in wby brass go figure lol 81.4 R-l is nice with the nosler-b | |

| I use 75gr. a max bullets in a 22-243 at 3500 ft/sec with great results. They will shoot 1/2" to better groups and still do a great job killing. I took a whitetail dead in his tracks at a little over a 100 yards. The bullet fragments were traped under the skin with about a 1 inch wound channel. | |

| For not being recommended for use on game, performance on whitetails it nothing short of outstanding. Averaging sub 1 inch groups at 200 yards, it is effective way out there.Hits out to 300-450 result in knockdown and near instant death. Long live the STW and the A-MAX | |
