I understand that Photobucket has begun holding stored images in order to get users to pay for their accounts and access to the stored images.

Here is a brief update on the issue from PC Mag.

Some posted images have already gone awry on some other forums.

I never did like that thing. I just don't post photos because it's a mess.

Happened to me. Have 1108 photos on that site but they want me to pay $400 to post to 3rd party site.

Hasta la vista baby!

When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

After Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF!

I had 135 on there and just deleted 20. Maybe if you just store your pics on a thumb drive and use the photobucket account for the pics you want to post. The biggest problem with photobucket free accounts is all the adds you get plastered with.

Photobucket sucks but I use it to post pics here. Thus far I'm not cut off from it. For now.

I got a notice from them yesterday that they are changing their policy and want to charge me a monthly fee of $2.xx so I can use their service to post pics on here. Why can't we just post pics here directly? Morten!

Maybe we should have paid membership that allows us to upload pics directly to the forum. And with out a yearly membership fee one would have to use a 3rd party site to upload pics. This is how Savageshooters forum works.

$30 to $50 a year would be nice and would help to pay for some of the cost to keep this site alive.

Just throwing ideas around.

When I got the email from PB telling me I needed to spend $399 a year in order to be able to post pictures to 3rd party sites, I deleted all my photos and joined SmugMug.
