Powder measures are often simpler and quicker to use then powder scales. It will take a few minutes calibrating it with a powder scale, but when it's done, simply pull handle to get the correct powder charge. Most powder measures works best with small granular powder, or ball powder. Using slow burning magnum powder, will often cause the measure chamber to cut a few powder grains, giving you some resistance pulling the handle.
